CFC FINALS & SCHEDULE

Dear Teams and Parents,

I hope this email finds you well. 

We are excited to announce that the final round of the Club Futsal Championship (CFC) will be held on Sunday, 8th September, at Parklands Christian College, located at 11 Hillcrest Rd, Park Ridge QLD 4125.

Due to football finals being scheduled for the morning of that day, we have decided to schedule the games of Round 3 (finals) to be played after lunch to avoid any clashes, making it possible for every team to attend. Please note that the tournament times have changed; it will now run from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM instead of the original 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We apologize for the delay in getting this information out, but it took some time to organize the venue, secure referees, and coordinate with the Football Queensland schedule. We appreciate your patience and look forward to a great day of competition.

Finals Format:

    •    Under 8:
Teams will play a round-robin of 3 short games of 18 minutes each. The top 2 teams will move to the finals, while the 3rd and 4th teams will play for the bronze medal. Finals will consist of two 18-minute halves.


    •    Under 10:
There are still 2 round-robin games to be played: Robina Purple vs River City and Ole Futsal vs River City, as River City could not attend Round 2 due to other commitments. These games will be 18 minutes each. After these matches, we will determine the final standings.
Finals Format: Semi-finals will feature 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. The playoff for 5th, 6th, and 7th place will not have finals, but each team is guaranteed 2 games of 18-minute halves.


    •    Under 12:
The semi-finals will be 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd, with winners moving to the Grand Final and losers playing for the bronze medal. The 5th place team will have 2 games against a guest club, ensuring they play 2 games. All games will be 18-minute halves.


    •    Under 14:
The final 2 round-robin games will determine the top 2 teams, who will then compete in the finals. The 3rd and 4th place teams will play for the bronze medal.
